Secrets unveiled

Many Muslim women who wear niqab in Australia do it willingly and not forced to wear the niqab by thier husbands. They are born and grow in Australia. They are Australian. Is just they now converted to Islam and want to wear niqab. They are now abused not by their Muslim husband but by Australian.

The below few quotes from Umm Zainab, an Australian who converted to Islam and wear niqab:

"As soon as you walk down the street and turn the corner, you wait for the abuse," says Umm Zainab, the woman in Woolworths. "

"You get screamed at, you get spat at. They don't even think about the children, the fear and hatred is so great. "

"I don't have to worry about any of that. People have to take you for who you are, not for your body or your beauty. You're taken for who you are."

"How's that for double standards? It's a free country. But they're abusing me for wearing something they don't like."'

Rabi'a's is missing her veil and will put it back

After taking off her veil, Rabi'a's is missing her veil and decided to put it back on. She is wearing the niqab because of sunnah and not because she has no choice.

[I Miss Being a Niqabi]

Danielle Crittenden, a western writer put herself on veil for 1 week

Writer Danielle Crittenden spent a week living her life in an abaya.

I hope she enjoyed her veiling experience and understand how Muslim women feel while wearing veil in western countries.

So Ms. Crittenden decides to put on a niqab…for what? For giggles? She never really explains her reasons for doing so, but makes it very apparent that wearing a niqab is a bad idea because it’s “oppressive”. Does she want to see what it’s like to be a Muslim woman who wears niqab? Does she want to understand the prejudice that these women face? No. After reading her posts, it’s obvious she just wants to play dress-up.

Muslim Women Students Proud of Attire

To you, they may seem oppressed, suppressed and silenced. But are they, really?

They cover themselves for modesty as set by Allah (God) through the Quran (Holy Book), yet they are judged by other people not to be free.

Wearing the hijab is seen as an act of submission to Allah. The hijab represents modesty; it is an act of worship and protection against lustful looks of others. The niqab is not required but it is just an extra degree of hijab.

Madeeha's Niqab story

Assalamu alaikum,

Before learning about the veil, I was quiet confused and thought it as an
option to cover the face. However, after reading the hijab ayats in surah
ahzab, I got convinced and understood why it is a must to cover the face as
well (especially in today's society).

Want to know what make Madeeha want to wear niqab. Read More..

To sisters who are wearing niqab, are you happy wearing it ?

About Me

My photo
I wear a veil (niqab) whenever the situation permitted me to do so. I will only take off my niqab when I really have no choice. There are many controversy regarding wearing niqab in public places. I created this blog to collect niqab related stories, experience, photos...etc. I wanted to know more how other Muslim women who are wearing niqab adapt to today's world, especially those sisters in Western countries. Sometimes, I will quote a few sentences from or take a photo from website or blog that I find interesting. If you find your site contents in this blog and felt offended, please kindly drop me an email, I will remove it from my blog immediately.
