Malaysian students wearing purdah



Niqab is Malaysia is slightly different from the niqab wear by Middle East women. The niqab is Malaysia is more commonly known as purdah. Anyway, purdah is not popular in Malaysia. Only a small percentage of women wearing purdah in Malaysia. Malaysia women prefer to wear the Tudung (headscarf) only.

I wear a veil (niqab) whenever the situation permitted me to do so. I will only take off my niqab when I really have no choice. There are many controversy regarding wearing niqab in public places.
